Scotch on the Rocks hits the Road
As we heard back in September at then end of A Wee Dram of Scotch that Andy Allan and the gang planned on taking Scoth on the Rocks on the road. Well it appears now that its official.
While the general idea of taking Scotch on the Rocks on the Road is interesting, for those who would have had to travel from abroad (mainland Europe or farther) a single location makes a lot more sense than a traveling roadshow. Getting a flight or a train to a single location, and the booking of a hotel for a 3 day event would also be a lot easier than having to book a flight and then inland transportation to 3 different locations. I would think that it would make it more expensive for someone who would like to attend all three days with it all spread out than provide a savings.
I wish them all the best with the conference and hope that it's a huge success.

With the current financial situation, it's actually more cost effective for us to bring the conference to you. Of course, we've only announced we're traveling the UK thus far but we do have plans to bring Scotch on the Road to Brussels and somewhere in Germany. With both of these we'd ideally need the local User Group manager to take the reigns.
So don't be surprised to see some mainland Europe dates announced in the not too distant future.
