The Purrfect Use for AIR
It didn't take as long as I thought it would. As with most technological advances one of the industries that are always on the forefront in using the new technology is the adult entertainment industry.
I personally believe if it wasn't for that morally questionable industry we wouldn't be benifiting from multi-MB lines directly to our houses, where we can in comfort question our morals in the privacy of our own homes away from prying eyes.
So what exactly am I getting at here? Well this little nugget comes by way of Eithan Eismann. Apparently Keely Hazell, a The Sun page 3 girl, has her own AIR application! Those in the USA probably have no clue what a Page 3 Girl (NSFW in USA) is but you will catch on fast.
The application has a little window with all the latest high quality The Sun news and gossip, but thats just the "half" of it. It also has transparent full screen window where Ms. Keely, scantily clad, struts her assets about. A hell of a lot better than Mr. Paperclip ever did if I do say so myself, and not nearly as annoying!
As far as entertainment goes I can't think of a better way to get the word out about AIR!

Its a "respected" newspaper, it's not like flipping through Hustler, I don't think that would be acceptable.
Yeah, in most parts of the USA nudity is treated as totally taboo - if the kids see it, they will be scarred for life. We don't take the same attitude to violence though - that part always perplexed me.
I would be surprised to know that viewing the page3 site at work would be considered ok, though.

Davo.
p.s., I wouldn't QUITE go so far as to call the Sun "respected" - mainstream would be more like it ;-)
In Munich we have Bild as a newspaper with it's own "quasi" page3 girls, and thats quite acceptable to read it at the office...perhaps a full site of scantily clad women would be err frowned upon viewing at work but its easier to ask for forgiveness than permission..
