Adobe Munich Sponsors Girl Geek Dinner
Yes folks you read that right Germany too has chapters of "Girl Geek Dinner", and this time Adobe is sponsoring it in Munich.
To be perfectly honest until I read about it on cfug.de I had no idea that Girl Geeks had their own societies with the Geek world.
I think it's great that just girls (women) get to mingle just with women as typically the ratio is what 20:1 (20 men:1 women) or more with most organized tech events. I think max was more like 100:1 (If I don't count the Adobe Marketing/PR/Developer relations employees).
Women in the IT industry are a serious minority so I think organizations like this are really important. They get to socialize and network without a bunch of male geeks polluting the air with Testosterone.
