Now Powered by Railo 3.1.2

I've been running the enterprise version of Railo 3.0 for some time now and have finally decided to upgrade to 3.1.2. Since Railo has moved to open-source there is no longer any development on the closed source branch and no way to do an automatic upgrade via the upgrade button in the Administrator.

What I am about to describe is quite possibly the most difficult upgrade procedure known to mankind.

Railo Manual Upgrade Procedure

  1. Download the Railo jar files
  2. Shut down Resin (/opt/railo/bin/httpd stop)
  3. Copy the jar files into your lib directory
  4. Restart Resin (/opt/railo/bin/httpd start)
  5. ... err... done!
OK, perhaps not exactly the most difficult upgrade of all time, I may have exaggerated there a little bit, OK maybe a lot.

For the people who attempted to get to my site during the 30 second down time while I upgraded I apologize.

Happy Coding...
