iPhone Bing Search App Buggy

Microsoft recently introduced an iPhone application for the search engine Bing. The free Bing App uses Microsoft's search engine of the same name to search the net, images and maps, there is only one problem. It crashes permanently.

Promised Voice Support Fails

The support for voice search in the Bing App is apparently where Microsoft went wrong. According to an Article on Golem, a Review of the App, as soon as you try to use the voice search feature the App crashes, and crashes constantly.

You can also forget about trying to install Bing on a first generation iPod touch (without microphone), it just won't install even though the speech feature is only one function and not required.

Its not all bad

Aside from the reported total failure on the voice search the App does look good, and functions apparently quite good so long as you don't try to use the voice search feature.

Perhaps Microsoft will release a classic hot-fix for the App soon...
