Google Analytics New Features
Google Analytics recently released 7 new features for their free online analytics tools. For those who have been using Analytics for some time Google has been silently adding improvements to the site for some time, but this is the first official notice of added features that I have received in almost a year.
Features at a Glance
- Analytics Intelligence with Custom Alerts: Ability to create custom alerts based on criteria you set for your site metrics.
- Expanded Goals and New Engagement Goals: More goals per profile, if you are tracking conversion rates this is definitely an important improvement.
- Expanded Mobile Reporting: Better tracking for mobile enabled sites and web applications for non JavaScript enabled phones.
- Unique Visitors Metric: Get the truth on how many unique visitors visit your site.
- Advanced Analysis Features: In-depth, on the fly reporting.
- Share Advanced Segments and Custom Report Templates: Share your custom reports and advanced segment analysis with anyone who has an Analytics account.
- Multiple Custom Variables: Adding multiple custom variables allows you to collect unique usage data for your site.
Some interesting new features targeted more toward the power users and e-commerce sites than the casual Analytics user.
