Ext JS 3.0 Remoting Made Simple with Ext:Direct

Yesterday Ext JS announced via their blog the release of Ext:Direct a new package to help developers write less code by streamlining communication between client and server.

What I find great is that the crew at ExtJS have released a series of reference server-side stacks that work with their new package. Reference stacks are available for ColdFusion, Ruby, .Net, and PHP. Along with the server-sides stacks they have also provided a remoting specification

Any new tool that helps reduce writing boilerplate code is definitely worth taking a look at!

Happy Coding...

Steve 'Cutter' Blades's Gravatar Aaron Conran, who's the team lead for Ext JS, is a long time ColdFusion guy, and one of the original contributors to the ColdBox project. Couple that with Ext's inclusion in CF 8 for it's ajax components, as you've got some good CF love going on from Ext.
