jQuery Switches to Zoho Forums
An early morning tweet by John Resig of the jQuery team, and followed by an email from Zoho, announced the switch of the jQuery forum from Google Groups to Zoho. Zoho Discussions is providing their on-line forum tool for free to open-source projects.
Zoho Discussions on-line Forum
In a blog post about the new jQuery Forum, John explains why jQuery made the decision to go with Zoho Discussions. The two main reason were:Zoho Discussions seamlessly integrates both regular, forum-style, discussions and Q&A. Additionally, all the moderation and administration tools are designed around building and managing a slick workflow for answering questions and concerns.
The Discussions team at Zoho have been incredibly accommodating. They are not only providing all the hosting for free but going out of their way to fix concerns and integrate our full Google Groups back history. We've been working very closely with them, and they've fixed, or are fixing, every issue that we've brought forward.
A Few Important Links
There are some changes to note and some of your bookmarks to update. The old english jQuery group has been split into several different forums.
Additionally the old Google Groups have change to:
